A great day yesterday at coolmaine. The S swell was pushing lovely waves into the bay. The easterly wind made it a bit gusty on the inside so took the bigger wave board to help me get out. Once out the wind cleared up and plenty of swell lines to pick up and carry 3-4 front side turns on the way in. When the wind shifted even more easterly it got too gusty to sail so we drove over to 'the slip' for a last hour blasting across the harbour in cleaner wind. Bit of a day of carnage with one guy breaking a mast foot and another breaking a mast...he had to dump the whole rig in the end as the dropping tide was pulling him out of the harbour mouth.
